Grafted sodium p-styrenesulfonate(cas 2695-37-6) on the surface of Fe3O4 /SiO2 composite particles

The surface of the magnetic particles was modified with silica to make it easy to control the surface groups with silane coupling agent to obtain the initiators of atom transfer radical polymerization. Then, atom transfer radical polymerization was carried out on the surface of Fe3O4 /SiO2 composite particles. The method of grafting sodium p-styrenesulfonate(cas 2695-37-6) was used to prepare new nano-magnetic polymer materials, which had the superparamagnetic properties of nanometer magnetic particles and the composite materials with polymer properties.
The anionic polyelectrolyte-sodium p-styrenesulfonate(cas 2695-37-6) was coated on the surface of Fe3O4 /SiO2 magnetic nanoparticles by surface initiated atom transfer radical polymerization.
