Use MES(4432-31-9) as a pH buffer to reduce the change of water iron ore

Stockdale and etc. using the injection of water iron ore as a DGT diffusion layer in the process of combining the use of NaOH to improve the glial in the water iron ore content and maintain its water pH changes in the remain unchanged, the use of  MES(4432-31-9) as a pH buffer to reduce the change of water iron ore to goethite. With the increase of pH, iron ore can be changed to goethite, resulting in a small amount of NaHCO3, which affect the use of DGT effect. The addition of FeCl3 to Fe (NO3) 3 solution can reduce the interference of nitrogen in the later detection by LA-ICP-MS. The experimental results of the colloid under different pH and ionic strength show that the effect of colloid on the phosphate binding is smaller than that of the traditional hydrotalcite powder when the pH varies from 3.2 to 7.9; the effect of ion concentration on the measurement results is small, but at low ion concentration, rinsing the diffusion layer with water may cause additional ion interference.
